FAQs

How long is the term of service for a committee member?

Sub-committee members  serve 36-month terms. Normally, a sub-committee member cycles off at the end of that time. In rare instances, a term may be extended for up to an additional 12 months with the recommendation of the sub-committee chair and approval by the URC chair.

Can I submit an application as a committee member?

Current members of sub-committees may not submit proposals (to any sub-committee) for consideration by the URC. Sub-committee members who do not complete their full term for whatever reason, may not submit a proposal until the full term would have ended or 12 months from the time of their resignation, whichever is shorter. Resignations cannot be back-dated.
