2019-2020 Call for Proposals


The University Research Committee announces the annual Call for Proposals for the 2019-2020 funding cycle in the following categories:
  • URC regular award
  • URC-GaCTSA, Georgia Clinical and Translational Science Alliance, formerly ACTSI (Specific criteria apply)
  • URC-Halle Institute for Global Research and Learning International Research Awards. (Specific criteria apply)

All regular, full-time Emory faculty, regardless of rank, are welcome to submit an application.

Each applicant may submit one application selected from one of the following categories:

  • Arts: Visual and Performing
  • Biological and Health Sciences - Please designate Regular or GaCTSA (formerly ACTSI)
  • Humanities
  • Interdisciplinary
  • Mathematics and Natural Sciences
  • Social Sciences

Each category, with the exception of Interdisciplinary, awards a maximum of $30,000 per application. The maximum Interdisciplinary award is $40,000.

Most proposals will have one principal investigator. Biological & Health Science proposals considered under the GaCTSA funding category are limited to one principal investigator. More than one PI is required in the Interdisciplinary category to be eligible for an award of $40,000. Interdisciplinary applications with one PI will be awarded a maximum of $30,000.

The online application, eligibility requirements and criteria for submission may be accessed via the University Research Committee website (http://urc.emory.edu). Proposals must be submitted through the URC online application portal by 5:00pm, January 7, 2019*.

Late submissions will not be accepted.
