Grants and Programs


All full-time faculty of Emory University are invited to submit one application for one of the listed awards.

Each award cycle is 12-months: beginning Spring 2019 and ending Spring 2020.  All research must begin and end during the 12-month award term.

Multiple submissions are NOT permitted within one award category or across award categories.

URC Awards

Grants of up to $30,000 in six categories:

  • Arts: Performing/Visual
  • Biological & Health Sciences
  • Humanities
  • Mathematics & Natural Sciences
  • Social Sciences
  • Interdisciplinary - 1 applicant, $30,000 maximum award; or, 
  • Interdisciplinary - 2 or more applicants, $40,000 (may exceed see Policies & Guidelines)

URC-GACTSA Awards

Grants made in partnership with the Georgia Clinical and Translational Science Alliance (GA-CTSA) explore all aspects of clinical and translational biomedical research, including development of biostatistical methodology, bioethics, and assessment of new technologies.

URC-Halle Institute for Global Research

Awards made in partnership with The Halle Institute for Global Research and Learning must include a significant (if not complete) focus on work conducted outside of the United States.
